Sometimes it is about intersectionality, or looking at how multiple oppressions and identities interact. You can’t separate the queer bits of me from the autistic bits of me from the bits of me that really, really like Kate Miller-Heidke, because they aren’t compartmentalised.

Sometimes it’s about one of the things I am Autistically Obsessed With, which at the time of this writing are Monster Blood Tattoo, Kate Miller-Heidke, and Doctor Who (Eleven, specifically). Being Autistically Obsessed With Something isn’t actually different from otherwise being an intense fan, except someone decided your topic(s) of choice were really weird. I think someone should warn the Doctor Who fandom.
